WALLNUT & GLASS STAIR RAILS

Modern and simple but far from easy. This stair rair was technically very challenging. The brief was to create railing that was simple, built to code and with no hardware visible at all. The end result is a product that is built with mortise and tenon joints and the glass is easily removable but completely secure. The posts are mounted securely, with no hardware visible and the whole assembly is building code approved.

CUSTOM DECK WITH SHADE SAILS

Nothing is more welcoming than a well designed outdoor space. This deck has plenty of room to lounge and entertain. The slatted wall on the far end provides privacy and the shade sails not only only provide much needed shade but also help create a sense of intimacy on such a large deck.

PINE DINING TABLE

This gorgeous pine dining table started as a massive pine tree located on a friend's property in Muskoka. He had the wood milled and it was drying in his garage when I first saw the lumber. He graciously offered me some of it. This is the result. The table is 8ft long and the top is a full 2" thick. This table is a as staple as you can get and easily seats 10 people.

SLATTED WALNUT WALL

Wallnut is such a gorgeous wood. The nutty brown colour seen here is the natural colour.

This wall was getting damaged due to the high amount of traffic this kitchen was getting. The solution was to clad the wall in walnut strips. It took some experimentation to figure out how wide to make the slats and how far to set them apart. The result is spectacular and this wall never fails to receive compliments.

CUSTOM WALL UNIT

This stunning wall unit features a lacquered finish that is smooth and luxurious. It has a built in vacuum sweeping port that was extended out from its existing location on the back wall, as well as a handy power outlet. The dovetailed drawers feature soft close slides and the doors have a similar feature. The wide open space in the middle has been deliberately left open to hang a large screen TV.
